Sewing Instructor

Cece Sanchez is a lifelong Austinite and multi-disciplinary artist with over a decade of experience in sewing, crochet, and embroidery. With a strong foundation in theatrical costuming, Cece has worked as a Costume Shop Teaching Assistant at Drake University (2020–2022) and currently serves as Overhire Stitcher and Wardrobe Crew at ZACH Theatre.

Their teaching philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and accessibility—helping students feel confident while learning what can often seem like an intimidating skill. Cece’s classes focus on growth over perfection, blending practical instruction with a supportive and creative environment.

Beyond the studio, Cece shares their expertise with Austin’s vibrant drag and performance community, offering custom sewing lessons and costuming support to local artists.
